I grew up in the Swiss mountains in the Engadin, before moving to Zurich, where I studied physics. In 1999 I graduated and then traveled around the world, for the first time visiting India.
For the next decade, I worked in finance, developing trading model algorithms. Then, in parallel, I finished a Ph.D. in the study of complex systems, again at the ETH, focusing on economic networks.
Since 2014 I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich, working in the Department of Banking and Finance. In 2015, I was a a co-founder of the digital finance marketplace ECUREX.
I am currently also writing a book about physics, philosophy, perception, and reality.
